Insert/Edit custom code in HTML Editor, Source View in RVsitebuilder 5.4

Please make sure your RVsItebuilder is latest version (5.4). (Look at the left corner at the bottom of any step in RVsItebuilder) If not, please contact your host provider to update RVsItebuilder for you. *To insert javascript code, please see the guide at the most bottom. Case 1. If your project is a fresh created in RVsItebuilder 5.4. You’ll get New WYSIWYG. You can use HTML editor in page editor of the page you want. Put mouse on the content area you want to insert custom code Click “Edit HTML” tool Once finished inserting your code, put mouse on the same content area in number 1. Click “Save” OR Case 2. If your project was created with RVsItebuilder 5.2 , and got updated to RVsItebuilder 5.4. You will be with the Old WYSIWYG. In Step 3 -> Page Editor, you need to put mouse on content area first, in order to open function "Source" to open and edit. Javascript Please follow the guide below for javascript code. 1. Go to cPanel -> File Manager, and create a file in the public_html Example: - Create file name (any you want) = myfeed.html - Insert your script in this file - You get this path = /public_html/myfeed.html 2. Go to RVsItebuilder -> Step 3 -> Page Editor -> HTML Editor , and insert code , as example by following. 3. Preview / Publish to check again.
Import projects from RVsitebuilder 5.2 to 5.4 (Old WYS to New WYS)

If you want your current project which was created since RVsitebuilder 5.2 to be imported as a project in RVsitebuilder 5.4 and use New WYSIWYG with new features from 5.4. You can do the following. 1. Create a new project 2. In the new project, create the same pages you have in your current project. 3. Open the page editor and copy Source code to paste in the new page editor in the new project. *You may open two projects in the same time in order to copy and paste the data using two browsers. 4. Edit size of all your images and tables in the page (Page by Page) How to set width to 100%. Go to step 3, and click the page editor of the page you have inserted image or table. 1. Once the page editor is opened, please click "Source" view to open code editor. 2. Once the code editor is opened, please search for "width" 3. Change the current width value to "100%" for EVERY width appears in this page. 4. Save it. 5. Copy all files and folders under folder: {home_user}/.rvsitebuilder/projects/{old_id}/documents {home_user}/.rvsitebuilder/projects/{old_id}/images {home_user}/.rvsitebuilder/projects/{old_id}/media and place in: {home_user}/.rvsitebuilder/projects/{new_id}/documents {home_user}/.rvsitebuilder/projects/{new_id}/images {home_user}/.rvsitebuilder/projects/{new_id}/media

Make sure you open page editor of the page you want already. 1. One click of image. 2. Click on "Link" tool. 3. Select type of the destination, such as Web Location, E-mail address, My Images, etc. This sample is “Web Location". 4. Insert URL, or choose file from the destination you’ve choose. 5. Select if you want it opened in Same/New Window. 6. Click "Insert". 7. Click "Save" on page editor.
How to add RSS Feed script in your website

You can do the following guide. 1. Go to cPanel -> File Manager -> public_html -> {publish_folder}/ Sample:: domainname.com, should be in public_html domainname.com/myname, should be public_html/myname (if your public_html doesn’t have this folder, just feel free to create it) 2. Create a new file under the folder in number 1. with the name such as; feed.html and insert your RSS FEED code to the file. 3. Back to RVsitebuilder -> Step 3 -> Page Editor -> Switch to "Source" view, and insert code: *feed.html is the file you created in number 2. 4. Republish again.
