How to switch and edit projects between RVsitebuilder 5 and 6

If you have current projects which were created with RVsitebuilder 5 and you want to edit it using editor and features in RVsitebuilder version 6. The projects cannot be edited crossing over version, but RVsitebuilder V.6 allows to use 2 different User Interface versions in order to be able to edit the current version 5 projects and create and enjoy RVsitebuilder SIX. You can click on “Switch to the old RVsitebuilder V.5” or “Switch to the new RVsitebuilder V.6”. Please be noted that to edit and publish projects need to be on the same version. ========================================
Creating your own image folders in Image Manager

You can create your own image folders to categorize images in Image Manager, under "My Images". At “+ New Folder“, click it to open Folder name field, and name it as you want. To move images from All Images to your own created folder, just simply drag and drop it. You can also select multi images in one time by dragging the mouse over them and dropping to the destination folder. **To delete the image(s) from your created folder, please MOVE image from the folder to “All Images”. And please be noted that the “Delete” function will mean to delete it from Image Manager and your website, not only from the folder. So make sure you remove it from page in website to avoid broken image displaying after republishing. ===========

In “Page” tab while you’re setting up design for your content block, the Parallax Effect is what we recommend. At content, select a content block that you would like to make it wow, go to “Block”. Background Color You can make content block Background Color in sharp or transparent by: Select content block and go to “Background Color”. 2. Use the color scale to make it sharp or transparent. Parallax Scrolling Effect Aside from Background Color, you can make the Block more attractive by giving it an effect in “Parallax Scrolling Effect”. Feel free to select one from 19 effects. Present your website in full-screen

Since all templates and sections in RVsitebuilder 6.4 will be full-screen by default. It will be 2 cases to concern. 1 : Create new site, all new created sites in RVsitebuilder 6.4 series will be full-screen websites by default. If you want to present your website in fixed-screen, you can change it at Panel -> Background -> Section, and uncheck box “Fluid (full screen)” to publish website with fixed-screen. Any template and its sections will be full-screen. Sections selected in “Page” tab will be full-screen. To change screen at Panel -> Background -> Section. 2 : Edit website, all websites created since RVsitebuilder 6.2 series or older, the screen will be as the old setting. BUT if you drag and drop a new section in “Page” tab, it will be full screen automatically while the rest will be as old setting. Sample : The 3 Blocks are the old section, it will not change to full screen. But the new section, a man with camera, will be full screen section. ===========

Highlight New Features in RVsitebuilder 6.2 New Image Manager In App Video Overview & Tutorials New 20 Section Layouts New 3 Navigation Styles Note for custom image folders in My Images from previous versionsEvery custom image folder in My Images folder that were created since RVsitebuilder previous versions will not display in RVsitebuilder 6.2 Image Manager. All images under those custom folders will be displayed at My Images while its paths is kept backend. Sample:Image name “Beauty.jpg” under custom folder “RVBeauty”. The folder “RVBeauty” will no longer show, but the image “Beauty.jpg” will be displayed under “My Images” folder. Its path will be /images/RVBeauty/Beauty.jpg Important: Because this update is all-new, so the new editor doesn't support the old sites that made from RVsitebuilder version 5.4 and earlier. That's mean to use RVsitebuilder 6; you have to create the new site using the new editor. You still be able to edit website made from the previous version smoothly by switching back to RVsitebuilder version 5.4 with just a single click on "Switch Version" function. You can choose Facebook Widget in the Section Social tab: Like Button: Let the user like and share your website. You can set for the layout and button type by clicking Section -> Social -> selecting the first section and click Facebook Like Editor in the Widget box. Adding Form to your website. You can add Contact Us form by clicking on Section tab -> Form -> Drag and Drop the block to your site, then editing with Form Editor. Editing Form by drag-and-drop tools from the list box in the right-hand side.Tips: We do not support form submission on Google Chrome browser on Android 7.1 devices. You may add text to remind your visitors. Ex. "The form will not be able to receive submission on Google Chrome browser on Android 7.1 devices. Please submit on other browsers." For more tool such as Captcha, StarRating, PasswordBox, PageBreak, FormCollapse and BirthDatePicker you can find in Power Tools. Setting Email when your customer submit your form. Footer Tab, you can set contact information (address, telephone number, email) also map and social network. You can change any content on your website footer. There are check boxes that let you easier show or hide any field of the information. Website footer contains the information listed at the bottom of the page. If you are editing in the Design tab menu, it will only display an example of footer navigation, so it is not the actual footer navigation of your site. You can set your Copyright by go to Design Page -> Footer -> Copyright

Adding Carousel for Photo AlbumIf you want to show your image as a slide, you can select on ‘Section’ -> ‘Image’ -> ‘Carousel’ and drag and drop the block to your page. Then click ‘Album Editor’ on Widget toolbox and choose your image by click ‘Add Images’. Renaming the existing albums or other widgets (Recommended for easier management)The same default name for your ten photo albums may give you headache. The following is to make it more different.1. Visit Section again and select Image section, click on Carousel.2. Make the dropdown list display as "Show my Widget".3. Click Tool icon to open tools4. Google Maps Widget Go to Section -> Contact -> Google Maps (Drag and drop to your site). Once you set Banner, it will show up the whole page. But if you want to show just home page, please do the following. 1. Setting your Banner at Step Design -> Header -> Banner 2. In the page editor, type or select by hovering the text or image you want to make it linked. Then click "Link" option in toolbox to open destination type you want, and insert by following guide. Uploading website Banner

In Design tab choose Header -> Banner. You will be able to change Banner image as you want by clicking Add Header Image. You can choose Banner from our Library or upload your own image. Please be noted that the resolution that suites for Banner is 1440px x 520px. You can also set the Transition Effects for baner. Also set for Header Space/Background Color/Header Width Header Space is an individual section at the top of your page which you can add any color (but you can't insert an image).

Image Manager is our new feature in RVsitebuilder 6.2, which will be the image tool to upload image, replace image, and edit image. The Image Manager will be available on every sample image you see on the section you selected. To open Image Manager, you will have to click on a sample image, then it will appear 3 icons: Upload, Replace and Edit. Upload: Use this function to upload new image from your computer.Replace: Replace this image with the those free images or your uploaded images or facebook albums in Image Manager.Edit: Edit this image. 1. The Upload Image icon Just simply click it icon to upload image from your computer. After that, edit functions will be appeared. See how to use them on the bottom of this article.Caution : If you click Overwrite, it will entirely overwrite the original image by the new uploaded image. If you have the original image in any places of your website, it will be displayed the new uploaded image instead. 2. The Replace image icon Click Replace for choosing the current images in Image Manager. You can replace this image by Free Images, Facebook Albums, or your own uploaded images. It will replace image only with this position you're working with, not the every place on the website that this image is in. Images from Image Manager Free folder.Simply select any image here to replace it. Images from your own facebook account at Social folder.You can browse an image from your facebook directly from this function. Just login to your facebook from this function, the Images Albums in your facebook will be shown here. Uploading Favicon

If you want to set your Favicon Go to Design Tab > Site Properties > Favicon > Choose File and select Show Favicon then click Save. If you don't have favicon file that is in ".ico" format, you have to convert your image file to ".ico" first by using converter website. We suggest using https://www.icoconverter.com/ to convert it (You can use other converter site as well). Click "Convert" then your file will be downloaded and saved. You can name your file any name, but when you upload your file to RVsitebuilder, its name in the program will be renamed to "favicon.ico" automatically.
